" NEW TRAIL"
« Reply #15 on: July 21, 2011, 07:48:27 PM »
"New track is all go"

Track will be above boys farm fire road. We have approval for the downhill section of the trail and Andy and the boys have marked out a really cool trail, plenty of cool stuff planned and can't wait to get it under way.

We will need to re-mark / re-think the uphill as we went into some protected vegitation. Hope to make this a real tough climb with some real tough corners and tech obstacles to get over.

See you at the build.

Hi all.  Planning on being there tomorrow morning 8am (need to do early shift due to other personnal commitments) but what do I need to bring?

Shovel, wheelbarrow?  Anything else that might be needed?  I have a ute so have a bit of space to haul some stuff around.  [NOT 4WD though - one of those fake, sporty utes  :P ]

Saw a few bikes leaning against trees a month or so back when riding through trail maintenance works (oops, sorry) - guess they're used for getting to trails from the car park too?  I'm thinking it might be a bit of an ask to ride the treadly and push the barrow as well but I'll try anything once...  ;)

Hey daniel its ok as on special occasions you can drive to the trail area and park there. Otherwise there are always some vehicles going up that you can grab a ride with

Hey All,

Ben here, I was at the May trail build with Brooke:)

Keen to come along tomorrow @ 8am. I've got a dual cab 4x4 ute and trailer if needed (let me know if I need to bring that). I'll bring the usual tools shovel etc but yeah if there is anything else that may come in handy I might have it lying around the shed so post it up here:)

We will drive to the trail this weekend unless people want to ride there.

Always good to bring your own shovel and matic along as we have run of spares in the past.

See you all 8am.

Can I bagsie a shovel? The only one I've got lying around here is about 10cm long...

Hope new trail building went well today.  Helped with fixing the soft spots near the berm on (which?) track but ran out of time and head out to suit fitting for wedding.  Got a few funny looks walking back to Trailmix with the shovel and mattock though... Talk about conversation starter  ::)

Can't wait to see it next month!  ;D

and some more photos...

Obviously these were taken as whilst building was in progress so they allready look very different :)

Ra, Dave, and myself spent a few hours out there today and got another 200m of track cut in :)

PM or email me if you are interested in cutting in some single track on the weekend :)
