Just moved to Victoria from Western Australia
« on: November 05, 2015, 09:51:32 PM »
Hi guys,

I've been riding for a while. I just moved to Victoria and are very excited my the riding prospects in this State:-)

I've been living in WA for the last eight years riding up in Kalamunda and on the trails around Margaret River (Pines and South Carters). People have recommended Lysterfield to me, so I'm pretty keen to check it out.

I think I'll head there on Saturday. Any advice on the best place to park, circuit direction and how to find the trail head? All info is greatly appreciated.

A little about me;
37yr old (relatively fit) male riding a DeVinci Troy. Looking for 20+km loop.

Cheers

Yak.

Hey mate, welcome LDTR and Victoria.

I'm sure you'll love our trails at Lysty. Best place to start is download a trail map from our website. Park at the main carpark on Horswood road. Generally Lysty is ridden anti clockwise, but you can ride the other way if you like.

From Horswood rd, ride to Buckle, upper buckle, Follow me, middle, Red gum, Hug, Blair , past the dam and back to your car. That'll be just on 20kms.

There will be a Lysty crew heading out from Horswood at about 7:30am. You are more than welcome to join them.

Enjoy. Tim
Keep Rollin' Rollin' Rollin.

Awesome response. Thanks guys.

I have to work tomorrow morning. I'm aiming to be out there in the afternoon (better forecast for arvo than morning as well).

I'm the one in the White Prado with WA plates in the car park. I look forward to meeting a few of you out on the trails.
