g'day all!!
« on: November 17, 2016, 11:13:42 AM »
Hi all,

I have just joined up on here and love my biking.
I did do a little downhill and few years ago but unfortunately i sold my DH bike because i wasn't getting the use.

I have a hard tail and want to get back out on the trails.

I'll also be in the market for a used all mountain or another DH bike so if anyone has anything on offer please let me know  :)

I look forward to joining up and having a membership and catching up with others on ride days and trail builds  :D

See you on the tracks ladies and gents

Shane

Hi Shane,
Welcome to LDTR and the forum.
Any bike is a good bike if it puts a smile on your face :)

Look forward to seeing you at one of our social rides or the FFLL races (even just to come and have a look) as they are a great place to catch up with other riders.

I'm sure my malvern star xt 5000 is ok but I sold my giant glory a few years ago and regret it.
I'll find something soon I'm sure.
I can't wait to get out to a few of these FFLL days and trail builds. Should be a lot of fun. Can't wait to meet new faces either.

Welcome mate, boy do I have the bike for you!!

2012 Intense tracer 2, built it up in 2013 and basically never use it (definitely don't use its potential when it does go out)

Selling due to breaking the frame on my XC bike and that's what does 95% of my riding so makes no sense to have such a nice dust collector anymore.

It's a large, and I'm chasing $2500 for it. Let me know if it's something you'd consider and I'll get the spec list and some more photos for you.

Hi Shane

Are you fixed on new generation 'big / medium' wheeled bikes or would you consider 26' bikes?  If you want something good in the price range you are shopping, that would be the obvious compromise.  I'm sure many of us have a 'spare' duallie we keep 'just in case', because they really aren't worth selling!

Craig.

Yeah I was thinking the 26' probably should've stated that.
It don't want it to be brand new. Just something to get back on and start enjoying myself.

I have a large Kona 4 Supreme that would fit well within your price range. Transformations since new. It has an almost new 1 x 10 conversion (X9 mech), XT brakes & Mavic  Cross trail wheels.  The geometry is more XC orriented than Trail & 4 inch travel with 26 wheels need some finesse at Red Hill/Youies/Buller, but it got me by before I got my Pivot..
