« on: December 02, 2016, 01:03:14 PM »
Trail Build/Maintenance Day

DATE & TIME: 8:00am, Saturday 17th December 2016

MEETING: Parks Vic Depot (Just above Skills Park)

WORKS:
We will be working on the last section of Upper Blair Witch, rebuilding the berms and clearing drains.
We will also be trimming the bushes along the State Mountain Bike Course and Hug Trail.

BRING: Water, food, shovel (we do have some in the PV trailer), good shoes (preferably steel capped) and appropriate clothing for weather.

Please let us know if you're attending by replying on this forum thread (so we can organise tools and food etc).
If you have any questions, please ask away.
BBQ and cold drinks provided for free to volunteers at the end of the build.

Hope to see you there.
Cheers.

Hi Nate,

Are we allowed to use powered hedgers or Round Up for the veg management?

Hey Craig,
Not without authorisation and assesment from Parks Vic. The trimmers will be sourced from us (the club) if we do use them.
We're working closely with Parks Vic to get this to happen.
Don't need to bring anything more than what is listed in the first post as per usual.

Cheers,
Nate.

No worries. We will have spare tools in the trailer.
If you park in the car park near the dam wall, then walk through the gates near the Skills Park, you will see everyone at the meeting point at the Parks Vic Depot.

I just arrived in Melbourne from the US yesterday and would love to come work on the trails ( and meet bikers and ride some trails, of course)! I am staying in Lilydale and was wondering if anyone may be able to give me a ride from near where I am? I can ride and meet somewhere if it is convenient. Thanks!

Great day of build and good to meet some of the guys. All our efforts look pretty good at the end of the day. I would also like to name THAT berm Bull Ant Berm for the pain those pesky critters inflicted on me. Good job guys. See you next time.
