June long weekend ride - Blores Hill
« on: May 23, 2017, 02:13:31 PM »
Before I go and make it official, is anyone keen on a trip out to Blores Hill on Monday 12th June?

Blores is a bit over two hour drive from Melbourne. Plan to meet there at 8.30am, leave there at about 12pm.

Cheers, Tim.
Keep Rollin' Rollin' Rollin.

Nice time of the year to be heading to the rain shadow for a ride.  Anyone that hasn't been to Blores in the last 12 months will be stoked with the work that has been done in the north east corner of the park.

Always interested in a spin at Blores, particularly when you can share a lift.  I will let you know a bit closer to the time if I am in for sure and we can discuss car pooling.

Oh I do like a carpeted berm. I would come and bring Ross along. Might even be able to persuade Nuts if the wind direction, temperature, humidity and phase of the moon fall right.

You forgot to align the lucky stars. And to wrap his spine in cotton wool.

If I come (80%) I have a ute that can carry 4-5 bikes but only 1 passenger comfortably. So that's the 3 bikes that I will need + 2 others ;)

Oh, BTW.  If we have a few cars and time we could consider a few shuttle runs over at Pete's track and the Traverse etc

Around Bulldog Junction. GMBC ran a 'gravity enduro' there for years before they became flavour of the month. They are on state forest. I think last years event got cancelled because Pete's track is not IMBA rated or some similar issue. There are other un authorised trails in the area also.

BTW. Trav, the Bulldog Junction area could provide you with your winter 'Epic'. I'm told that the local crew used to do 60k + loops each week and not ride the same trails 2 weeks in a row.
