Newb and best tyres for 27.5 hardtail

Gday all I've been riding at lysty for a few months and was wondering what the best budget tyres are for my 27.5 hardtail ?
I was thinking of upgrading my stock 1.90 's for 2.25 smart sam on the front and crossmark maxxi on the back.any help greatly appreciated

You’re on the right track increasing the volume (width) if you want improved control & more ‘compliance’ over rough stuff. Anything under 2.0 is for bike tracks & mad ass racers. It’s worth spending a little extra on a soft, or multi compound for the front tyre. They should outlast 2 back tyres & the last thing you want is your front end heading off on its own tangent in the middle of a corner. The club have been running basic skills instruction - keep an eye out for one of these sessions - that will give you a great boost also.

I'm guessing you're looking at cycling deal? In which case, specialised ground control 2.1 on the rear and butcher 2.3 on the front.  That will be the most confidence inspiring combination.
