Limited Edition Womens Skill Clinic - July 9


LDTR’s qualified skills instructor and unofficial trail slayer Helen is offering a skills clinic for just 4 lucky women before the July 9th social ride.

This is an Intermediate skills clinic.  We assume basic fitness and some singletrack experience.  Our womens clinics are customised to the requirements of the riders, with a focus on having fun while developing confidence and finding your flow.  Invest your time learning the key fundamentals and gain the skills and mindset to believe in yourself.

Techniques that can be explored include:

* Cornering - berms and flat corners
* Tackling trail obstacles
* Braking technique
* Climbing - body position and gearing choice

The Official Stuff:
LDTR skills instructors are certified by MTBA and PMBIA (Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association) and have current First Aid & Working With Children certificates. Each lesson runs for two hours, and is run from the Lysterfield Visitors Centre at Lysterfield Lake Park.

Each rider must have a mountain bike in good working order, and an Australian standards approved helmet. Please also bring along a water bottle, snack and suitable shoes and clothing.  To take part in our skills clinics you need either a recreation, race or trial MTBA license, alternatively you can purchase a Recreation Day Permit ($10, $7 for juniors).
