Short notice social rides.
« on: December 26, 2011, 10:57:55 AM »
I thought I'd start a thread were we can put all the short notice social rides.

I'll start with tomorrow, Tuesday the 27th,  8:30am at the horswood 24hr carpark.   Just a quick 1.5hr ride before meeting Andy at 10am for trail building.

Me and a mate are riding from the top carpark (Hallam Nth) at 6:15 tonight. 2.5 hours, steady pace, ~35km, might even go over to Churchill for some hills :-\

Post up if your interested.

Can't remember the crash, it was on Hug, heading towards Trailmix just after the fire road before the boadwalk.  Strava said I was only doing ~18km/h and it isnt technical maybe I slid on the gravel like the other week with Tone, don't know?  Appartantly a nice fellow on a Kona stopped and helped until Chris got back, thanks mate.  Was like waking up from a dream and couldn't remember a thing for the next half hour or so, didn't even know I had been riding with Chris.  Walked back to the top carpark, no KOM there.  So now have 1 black eye, gravel rash all down the left side of my face and neck, ouchy bits on my arms and legs and a really sore back and head.

Car is still parked at Hallam North, hoefully no one has spay painted * and balls on it.
