The tree must have come down last week..
It was down last Saturday (13th), but not the week before..

Tree is laying on the Western end of the boardwalk...
Looks to be minor damage to a couple of sections of tread.
But ground was too wet to have a closer look...
Being so wet it might need to be re-alinged as well..

It doesn?t seem to be, I had a look as I was walking past, although not a close inspection, I thought some of you guys were going down there tonight?

Not tonight, but next wednesday the 24th and by the new Dam Wall track. PV have asked us to first finish this section of track before doing anything else, including repairing the existing network. Come down and lend a hand, we will be there from around 6:30ish

Hi All.

Just a reminder that we will be Trail Building at Lysterfield this Saturday 11th December.

Plans are to rock armour a small section of track under the guidance of IMBA. This technique of trail building will be used throughout the park in the worst / low lying areas. Alot more time consuming but when it is done correctly it will be sustainable even under these wet conditions.

Meeting times are 8am & 10am @ Trailmix.

Bring along water, heavy working boots and gloves.

See you there.

Olly

Hey Cam,

Great to see that you are interested in getting involved, good shoes and water are the only thing you need to bring, if you have a favorite tool you are welcome to bring it, but we have access to the PV tool trailer that has many picks, shovels, rake hoes ect, ect

Rode out there today. Olly seems the section we did the other week has held up really well and drained almost completely and the part around the roll over has set hard.

Seems parks have done a cracking job also and cut a lot of the fallen logs/piles of sticks which were causing people to divert and flow is almost back to normal.

Enjoyed this afternoon and most has dried out, Buckle is still a problem but some high and low dry lines have appeared but hard to pick inbewteen the boggy section.

Bring on the next maintenance day....

Excellent news, will be out early tomorrow morning for a ride.

Hope to have an excavator for the next trail day, will speed things up some what.
